Esquay is a certified Gladue writer, holds a paralegal certificate, a Honours Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Legal Studies. She will begin her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Esquay believes education is essential in practicing and passing on culture, language, and traditions. Through her academic journey, she is committed to pursuing legal advocacy for Indigenous peoples, protecting lands, rights, and ensuring Indigenous experiences are recognized within the justice system.
